Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving south through scenic countryside toward Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy an en-route game drive as you head to your lodge or camp, with chances to spot zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and elephants roaming freely across the plains. After lunch and a short rest, you’ll head out for an afternoon game drive, where Amboseli’s famous large elephant herds dominate the landscape, often set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, soaking in the sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
This day is dedicated to exploring Amboseli in depth. You’ll set out early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active and Mount Kilimanjaro is usually clear, offering perfect photo opportunities. The park is home to lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, hippos, and over 400 bird species, all thriving around its swamps fed by underground springs. After returning to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation, enjoy lunch before heading out again in the afternoon for another game drive. You may also visit observation points overlooking the swamps, where elephants gather in large numbers. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay in Amboseli, surrounded by nature.
Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi
After an early breakfast, you’ll enjoy a final morning game drive, taking in the last views of Mount Kilimanjaro and capturing any wildlife moments you may have missed. This peaceful drive offers a perfect farewell to Amboseli’s open landscapes and majestic wildlife. Later, you’ll begin the journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon with unforgettable memories of close wildlife encounters and one of Kenya’s most scenic national parks.
