Wildlife
The conservancy is home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. It holds the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa and is globally known as the refuge of the world’s last two northern white rhinos.

Ol Pejeta also hosts Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary, providing a safe haven for rescued chimpanzees.

With over 500 recorded bird species, Ol Pejeta is a paradise for bird lovers. Species range from large raptors such as martial eagles and African fish eagles to colourful savannah birds, kingfishers, hornbills, and ostriches.
